I have been trying to upload a film however when the uploading is finished, then I press share and I get message saying something like "no file appears to have been uploaded" however on the previous screen It does show that one file has been uploaded. Does anyone know how this can be corrected or what I may be doing wrong?

I check the film file and it seems to be working perfectly.

Don't think you're doing anything wrong. That's happened to me several times, and I'm sick of it. I've gone back to using FTP uploading with which I've never had problems. I've noticed that after the last two uploads, derived files appear sooner after uploading than when I used HTTP uploading.

I've tried using FTP but after I create a directory and log on to the server how exactly do I put the file into the directory? This is no upload command option nor can I copy and paste into the directory.

You need a FTP client for your computer. I use Transmit on my Mac, but if you use Windows, there's Filezilla or these free apps listed at VersionTracker.

1. Hit the Upload button.

2. Hover the mouse-pointer over the Share button in the upper right corner. Wait for the message "Prefer to not use flash?" and click on it.

3. Fill in Title, Description, Keywords.

4. Click "Dedicate to the public domain."

5. Hit the "Share my File(s)" blue button at the bottom.

6. Wait for
"Your Item is ready for our advanced uploader and editor!"
and click link.

7. On the left you'll see "Manage your Directory Tree".
On the right, you'll see "Prefer to not use flash?"
Follow those instructions.

(After you've selected all the files that you want to upload, click the "Upload" button that is to the right of the "Add..." button; don't click the "Upload file" button that is above the "Add..." button.)
